Michelle Herron Bio
AgeWise founder Michelle Herron always held a special fondness in her heart for seniors. Ever since tagging along with her mother to her job at a nursing home, Michelle’s passion for working with seniors continues to grow stronger each year.
After graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, Michelle worked as an administrator in a nursing home, and then served as an assisted living admissions director. During this time she realized how vastly different elder care communities and facilities can be, and how important it is for families to recognize these differences in order to make the best decision for their loved ones.
That’s why she created AgeWise, the best way to simplify the process of evaluating the differences in care and costs of elder care facilities. AgeWise offers a free senior housing advisory service that allows families to easily access healthcare resources best suited to your elderly loved ones. Through the resources of AgeWise, Michelle focuses her time on providing families with honest and forthright information, with options for every circumstance and budget.
Beyond her education, Michelle brings 25 years of experience in long term care to the table and also serves as a certified Dementia practitioner. Her extensive background allows her to provides insight, personal guidance and perspective to the families she advises.
Married for over 20 years, Michelle enjoys golfing, fishing, swimming and spending time with family.
